Our body consists of up to 75% water. This water plays a significant role in the absorption of nutrients, waste processing, cell activities and everything needed to stay healthy and alive. Drinking sufficient water offers a big range of benefits which are truly amazing! When we don’t drink sufficient water, our body is not able to remove all toxic substances to which we are exposed.
Function
The most important task of water is the storage and transmission of information throughout our body. In a way, water is the carrier of information. The water in the body sends signals from the brain to the controlling body parts and back again. It is a primary element for the function of all chemical and bio-electrical processes. These processes play a significant role in the building and recovery operations, far more than protein, vitamins and minerals do. In short, the success of all signals and its processes depends on the extent in which they circulate. The effectiveness, which enables signals to be passed on, depends on a proper fluid balance and structure of the water.
Benefits of Drinking Water
The best way to start your day is by drinking at least one, preferably two big glasses of warm (boiled) water, about 15 minutes before breakfast. With an additional big squeeze of lemon juice, you give yourself a kick-start for the day, to hydrate and detox your body. The advantages are wonderful, and when applying this method on a daily basis, your health will benefit in more ways than one!
- Flushes Out Toxins
- Boosts Immune System
- Aids in Digestion & Prevents Constipation
- Increases Energy & Relieves Fatigue
- Promotes Weight Loss
- Natural Headache Remedy
- Keep Joints Lubricated & Muscles more Elastic, preventing joint pain
- Improves Skin Complexion
- Feeling Better in General
- Very affordable
Getting Hydrated
Needless to say, drinking sufficient water helps our body to carry out its processes appropriately, and for you to feel invigorated. With the emergence of many modern drinks like coffee, tea, soft drinks, fruit juices and alcoholic beverages, the average use of just drinking water has decreased enormously. More and more we become dehydrated (literally), together with all our organs, tissues and cells.
In his book “Your Many Cries For Water – a revolutionary natural way to prevent illness and restore good health”, Dr. F. Batmanghelidj describes in a clear and convincing way how water helps to prevent the cause of all kinds of ailments. Diseases such as obesity, high blood pressure, rheumatism, osteoarthritis, allergies, asthma, depression, dementia, and many others. He indicates how naturally and simple you can cure all these ailments by just drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day. Water is a basis of our health!
Apply Your Personal Method
By the time you feel thirsty, your body is already dehydrating. Therefore, I always keep a mug close to me, to remind myself to fill it up and drink from it. I personally prefer boiled water, but if you prefer cold water, you can fill up a jug, perhaps with some slices of lemon and mint added. Place them in your sight. When leaving the house, I always carry a bottle of water with me, either warm or cold. Meanwhile, I have collected a whole range of sustainable water bottles, appropriate for each mood and occasion.
Warm Drinks
During meals drinking lukewarm water is much preferred, because cold drinks during or after a meal will harden the fats which you consume. When stomach acid comes in contact with solid fat, the intestines absorb fat much faster than solid foods. This leads to many diseases, including cancer, this is why it is better to drink hot liquids after meals. I would suggest not to drink anything at all 2 hours after your meal, to not disturb the digestion process. Before going to bed always drink warm/hot water, optional with a squeeze of lemon juice and some grated ginger, which supports the metabolism. Optionally, you can add a little honey and cinnamon for the taste.
Quality of Water
The use of high-quality water is necessary for the way we get hydrated. Therefore, the use of a vitaliser is strongly recommended. You will not only notice a big difference in taste with your regular tap water, but also the ability of your body to absorb it and perform its functions correctly. After some time, your body will ask for more as it functions so much better with it.
Thanks to the experimental studies of the Japanese doctor Dr. Masaru Emoto we can see crystals in frozen water, which confirms the healing power of the quality and structure of water. In his book “The Message of Water” Emoto underlines the need to protect our water and ourselves by becoming aware of its significant impact. http://www.masaru-emoto.net/english/emoto.html
Don’t Medicate, Hydrate!
Improve your health in its basis. Drink pure and vital water!

Thank You Maria. Lots of Blessings to You!!
I’m so happy you’re , once again reminding us of how important it is to take best care of ourselves … water , such a simple thing ..and yet so many forgo drinking it and prefer soft drinks from a can (coke pepsi , etc…) …i’m real happy i never liked those and i find the taste of water more satisfying and thirst quenching ! I take a bottle of water with me at night too…and drink it all by the time i get out of bed …i am now putting lemon in it as well …luckily i love the taste of lemon as well , so much , as i also put it in my veggie soup also !
Thanks again and happy water drinking to you , dear Monique ! 🙂
So true Gabriela, very simple and yet so rewarding! Glad to hear water is such important part of your days! We too have bottles all over the house, to always have the opportunity to take a zip or two. The Health of people in general will improve if the awareness increases!
Thank you for being here dear friend! Healthy Blessings!! ツ
Hi Monique…this isa good article and a good reminder too…I have this habit of drinking water first thing in the morning….I feel good from inside. But I will tell you how much I understood the importance of water when we went to the hills during summer holidays we had lots of juices and cold drinks but our thirst was never quenched. And even bottled water wasn’t sufficient for us as we were seven people so it was always less. When I cam back home I drank plenty of water and felt satisfied. In our day to day life when we have so much we don’t understand its value and even its need in our body we understand only when we suffer with the lack of the resource. Water is truly life and it really makes our whole body work perfectly 🙂
Abundance of love light blessings your way <3 <3
Thank You Monalisa for your insightful information about the importance of drinking pure and vital water. I totally relate to your experience. However, I never drink any bottles/canned juices or drinks, but I’m sure after your body is used to pure water, it will react differently to other drinks. I have it with coffee and sometimes tea…. still very hard to leave it totally out of my diet.
The more we understand the importance of water, simultaneously we will take better care of our body and water in general…. a magical blessing from mother nature!
Thank You dear one for reading and your valuable personal story!!
Love and Blessings your way!! ❥‿⁀
hi the above comment is from me Monalisa 🙂
Terrific share, Monique, and a great reminder to keep up the good habit of consuming lots of water. I find that when I forget to drink water, I often feel foggy and headachy, and I’m always amazed that when I drink a few glasses of water, I again tend to feel clear, pain-free, and more energized. Your explanation of warm vs cold drinks was interesting, and something I wasn’t really aware of. So – thanks! 🙂
I love the water I consume. We’re lucky and have a tank for our drinking water, and, although we could drink it as it is (as it’s simply rain water), we do put it through a Wellness water filter, which adds to the goodness and makes it taste (and feel!) absolutely wonderful. I LOVE it. Here’s a link, in case anyone’s interested in knowing more about it: http://wellness.com.au/ It’s not cheap, and I’m not sure if it can be bought worldwide, but it IS terrific.
Many thanks again for a great share, dear Sis. Love you heaps, and love what you share with us all! ❤️
Thank you for your appreciation and sharing your personal experience with us Frances, which is always very much appreciated!! I love your Wellness Water filter, sounds really pretty wonderful!!
I’ve been using a vitaliser, one we which clinch onto the faucet, for over 10 years now and the difference between normal tap water is amazing! The water is so much softer, easier to drink and like you’ve said, my body feels so much better with it. I feel a remarkable difference when I have to miss it for some days, when away from home.
When I take a bath, I fasten the vitaliser onto the bath-tap as well! With some additional salt crystals I create my own spa!! ツ
Like your tap-water, ours is safe to drink as well, with the only difference that ours is mainly recycled and I therefore feel not comfortable to drink it pure. I figured the investment of any filter or vitaliser is an excellent investment in your health!
Thanks again precious Sis, for for your input and support!!!
Much Love to you and infinite blessings to your health and well-being! ♡
I’ve never really been aware of the type of vitaliser you mention, Monique, yet am interested to look further into it!
Much Love and Infinite Blessings to YOUR health and well-being also, Beloved Sis, and to the health and well-being of All! ⎝⎝⎝ ❤️ ⎠⎠⎠
Frances dear, I bought my vitaliser at a Dutch company, called ‘Gaia Aqua’ from which I have attached the website… at least you can have a look at them at ‘productoverzicht’…. and practise your Dutch at the same time!! ツ
We use no. 3. Today I would choose for the last one, which can be mounted easily in the main water pipe behind the water meter. This way you have filtered water running through all your faucets…. http://www.gaia-aqua.nl
Much Love ♥
That seems like a terrific option, Monique! So COMPACT! Thanks heaps for sharing the link.
It’s interesting that water can be improved/revitalized in so many ways, and choosing what to go with isn’t always easy. I’d love to eventually get something in place to improve our bathing water, but as yet haven’t done so.
Love and hugs to you! ( ( ( ❤️ ) ) )
